1. Introduction

Elevre Studios ("we," "us," or "our") builds mobile utility applications, including DocScan. This Privacy Policy explains what information our apps and website collect, how it is used, and the choices available to you. By using our apps or visiting this website, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

The information collected depends on how you use our apps and services:

  • Device information: device model, operating system version, language settings, and unique device or advertising identifiers.
  • Usage data: app interactions, feature usage, crash logs, and performance data, used to diagnose issues and improve our apps.
  • Document and file data: by default, documents scanned within DocScan are processed and stored locally on your device. We do not access, view, or upload the contents of your scanned documents to our servers unless a specific feature (such as cloud backup or sharing) is enabled, which will always be clearly indicated within the app.
  • Advertising identifiers: if an app displays ads, our advertising partners may collect identifiers such as your device's advertising ID for ad delivery and measurement, as described in Section 4 below.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to operate and maintain our apps, fix bugs and improve performance, respond to support requests, understand how features are used, and, where applicable, deliver and measure advertising. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Advertising & Third-Party Services

Our apps may use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob and its partners may collect and use device identifiers, approximate location, and usage data to serve ads, including personalized ads where permitted. You can review how Google handles this data in Google's Privacy & Terms, and you can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings at any time.

We may also use analytics or crash-reporting tools to understand app stability and performance. These third parties process data under their own privacy policies.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not share personal information with third parties except: with service providers who help us operate our apps (such as advertising or analytics partners, listed above); when required by law, regulation, or legal process; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Elevre Studios, our users, or the public.

6. Children's Privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. Data Retention & Security

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices & Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can also limit ad personalization through your device settings, or uninstall an app at any time to stop further data collection by that app. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

9. International Users

If you are located outside the country in which our servers or service providers operate, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your own.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our apps or website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
